Four Wind Seasons

Although the wind in Malaysia is weak and the direction changes, there is a change in the pattern of wind blowing. Based on these changes, four seasons can be differentiated, namely the northeast monsoon, the southwest monsoon and the two shorter monsoon transition seasons.

Northeast Monsoon
Starting from November to Маrch
The prevailing wind from the northeast
Wind speed 10-30 knots
Moist season (a budget of 4-5 monsoons that can cause flooding)

Southwest Monsoon
Starting from May to September
The Wind Is Common From
The Southwest
Wind speed less than 15 knots
Relatively Dry Season, Except Sabah

Monsun Transition Period
Starting in late March to early May and October to mid-November
The wind is weak from many directions
Equatorial Trench stretches across Malaysia
Lightning storms often occur in the evening
